Function & Application
Similar to other third-generation cephalosporins, it has a wide range of responses against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The difference is that it is effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, but it is weak against Gram-positive bacteria, so it will not be used as this infection. Ceftazidime is sold under the trademark "Fudaxin®". The product is a free acid (pentahydrate), and a certain amount of anhydrous sodium carbonate is added to prepare an injection. Suitable for sepsis, lower respiratory infection, abdominal biliary infection, complicated urinary tract infection and severe skin and soft tissue infections caused by sensitive Gram-negative bacilli.
