D(+)-Sucrose is a White or almost white, crystalline powder, or lustrous, colourless or white or almost white crystals powder.It is sweet, odorless, soluble in water and glycerin, and slightly soluble in alcohol. The relative density is 1.587 (25 ° C). It has optical rotation but no change in optical rotation. Sucrose is almost universally present in the leaves, flowers, stems, seeds and fruits of the plant kingdom. It is especially abundant in sugar cane, sugar beet and maple sap.
