Function & Application
Uses 1. Carbaryl is a dibenzoazepine antiepileptic drug with antiepileptic effects similar to phenytoin. It is most effective for psychomotor seizures and is also effective for large seizures, localized seizures, and mixed seizures. This product is superior to phenytoin in the treatment of peripheral nerve pain and can be used for trigeminal neuralgia and glossopharyngeal neuralgia. It can also be used for the treatment of arrhythmia and diabetes insipidus. The oral LD50 of mice was 3750 mg/kg, and that of rats was 4025 mg/kg.
Use 2. Anticonvulsant for the treatment of epileptic seizures and psychomotor epilepsy, but also for trigeminal neuralgia
Use 3. An anti-shock agent; a ligand for the benzodiazepine regulatory site of the GABAA receptor. Sodium ion channel inhibitor.
