Introduction:
Sarcosine (N-methylglycine) is a natural amino acid found in biological tissues that may have significant nootropic This sweet-to-the-taste amino acid occurs naturally as as an intermediate in the conversion of choline to glycine, and is also a byproduct of glycine breakdown.
Sarcosine is present in almost all biological materials, has no known toxicities and is found in many common foods such as turkey, legumes, ham and eggs.
