Application:Rosiglitazone controls blood sugar in the long term by directly reducing insulin resistance and improving cell function. PPAR is a highly selective and potent peroxisome receptor agonist. The receptor is a protein found in fat, skeletal muscle and liver tissue in insulin-sensitive tissues. Rosiglitazone's absolute bioavailability is 99% . Rosiglitazone absorbed rapidly in healthy volunteers, reaching peak concentrations on average one hour after taking the drug. It can increase the insulin content in the islets of Langerhans but has no effect on the secretion of insulin. Evidence that Rosiglitazone had a protective effect on cells showed that rosiglitazone prevented cell loss by reducing cell death. Rosiglitazone reduces levels of insulin and free fatty acids in the plasma. Reduced Plasma Insulin levels suggest that Rosiglitazone alleviates the burden on pancreatic cells. Because high levels of free fatty acids are toxic to the pancreas, lower levels of free fatty acids also protect the function of pancreatic cells. Therefore, the basic physiological link of Type 2 diabetes is to reduce insulin resistance, improve cell function to control blood sugar.
