Function&Application

[Use 1] for the synthesis of prostaglandins, certain antibiotics, auxiliary drugs for the hypolipidemic drugs lovastatin and simvastatin

[Use 2] Used as a pharmaceutical intermediate and used in organic synthesis, as a hydroxyl protecting agent in organic synthesis

[Use 3] Silanization agent. As a hydroxy protecting agent in organic synthesis, derivatizing reagents are used for analysis and preparation. Protect tertiary alcohols. Reacts with an alcohol to form a silyl ether. The conformation of the cholesterol derivative was determined. Synthetic prostaglandins, auxiliary materials for certain antibiotics, the lipid-lowering drugs Lovastatin and Simvastatin.
