Function & Application
Use 1. Cinnamic acid, also known as phenylacrylic acid, is an intermediate of the rodenticide bromide.
Use 2. Cinnamic acid is used to prepare L-phenylalanine, used as an intermediate for coronary heart disease, and can also be used to manufacture local anesthetics, fungicides, hemostatic drugs, etc.
Use 3. It is often used as a scent or as a deodorant, especially suitable for oriental scent. Among the edible flavors, it is mostly used in spices such as cinnamon and occasionally in cherry and honey flavors.
Uses 4. Cinnamic acid can be used to synthesize chloramphenicol cinnamate, heart, etc., and can also be used to prepare anesthetics, fungicides and hemostatic drugs. In the perfume industry, it can be widely used to synthesize methyl cinnamate, ethyl cinnamate and phenyl cinnamate.
Use 5. Determination of uranium and vanadium, separation of hydrazine, manufacture of cinnamate. Organic microanalysis determines the standard for double bonds.
