Details
Doxycycline hydrochloride is a yellow crystalline powder.It is odorless, hygroscopic, soluble in water and methanol, and slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone. This product has a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity and is effective against Gram-positive cocci and negative bacilli. The antibacterial effect is about 10 times stronger than tetracycline, and it is still effective against tetracycline-resistant bacteria. Mainly used for respiratory infections, chronic bronchitis, pneumonia and urinary tract infections, but also for rash, typhoid, and mycoplasmal pneumonia.

Function & Application
Use 1. For antibiotics, for infections caused by Gram-positive cocci and negative bacilli
Use 2. Biochemical research. It can specifically bind to the A site of the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, thereby preventing the synthesis of bacterial proteins for antimicrobial purposes.
